Distance learning managers, researchers, and "experts," however, tend
to use few of the business growth metrics at their own institutions,
let alone across higher education institutions in the U.S. Rather,
the leaders tend to use partial data or intuitive, unsystematic information
to make and to articulate judgments about the growth of distance learning

tool with data results to help administrators make informed decisions.
Participants can enter institutional data for their distance learning
program.
From the data submitted
by subscribers, IQAT™ generates tables and graphs that show the institution's
data benchmarked against other, similiar colleges and universities.
Benchmarked data can be viewed for multiple benchmark groups (e.g.,
by community colleges, state, independent, size). Subscribers can
view their data over time to see their own development.
NUTN and Hezel Associates will also use the data to release a yearly
report on distance learning in the United States.
